FAQ
  • Anyone aged 16 and older is welcome to volunteer at Canada Blooms.

  • Volunteer shifts are very flexible! You can choose to volunteer for a morning, afternoon or evening shift - whichever you prefer. As there is always so much going on, you should keep in mind that as a volunteer you will be on your feet for much of the day.

  • Our volunteers participate in a number of important activities, including:
    • Staffing information booths and answering any questions visitors may have
    • Greeting visitors and guiding them to show highlights
    • Distributing Canada Blooms magazine
    • Admitting visitors for lectures and celebrity events
    • Helping out in our beautiful gardens
    • Selling ice cream and merchandise
  • It's easy! Simply fill out our online application form.

  • Every year Canada Blooms has over 700 volunteers that make our event a success. Our volunteers are important to us and Canada Blooms makes every effort to process the applications as quickly as possible. You will be sent a confirmation letter and instructions for the festival once your shifts have been assigned. Confirmation will start to be sent mid-January 2012.

  • Although Canada Blooms requires an enormous amount of volunteers - 700 in fact - you won't believe how quickly these spots fill up! Volunteering is done on a first come first serve basis - so submit your application as soon as possible to be considered! All individuals will receive an email from Canada Blooms stating whether or not you have been selected as a volunteer.

  • As there is a lot of standing and walking involved, we want our volunteers to be as comfortable as possible. Feel free to dress casually (i.e. jeans, running shoes).

  • On the application form you can choose the area in which you'd like to volunteer - the feature gardens, the marketplace, information booths, at the doors etc. Canada Blooms will make every effort to accommodate your request. However, due to the large number of volunteers at the event, we recommend you submit your application as soon as possible to increase your chances of volunteering in the area you are most interested in!

  • Each volunteer shift will run from 3 1/2- 5 hours long - and, at the end of the shift you get to spend the rest of the day at the show as our guest!

  • Please contact us and we'll be happy to answer any other questions you have about volunteering at Canada Blooms. You can also email our volunteer coordinator at info@canadablooms.com.
